Loose Diamond Certification
A loose diamond certificate is a written document that names a loose diamond’s qualities. It takes years of training, and very powerful tools, in order to accurately evaluate a diamond’s quality. Diamond certificates are given by grading laboratories run by neutral, independent 3rd party gemological institutions that are qualified to determine a loose diamond’s carat weight, cut, clarity and color. Certificates allow you to compare diamonds of the same quality.
By measuring the 4 C’s, diamond certificates give an objective way of evaluating the stone’s value and is the only real way to be sure that you are really getting what you are paying for.
